Organising your event can be very overwhelming, especially as you are spoilt for choice when looking into booking your entertainment!

Andrew Jay and his team have help vast numbers of events, with over 10 years experience. So, we have put together some of the most Frequently Asked Questions to help you in your research and answer some of the questions that are on the tip of your tongue!

How easy is it to find quality entertainment?

It’s often misunderstood that finding good quality live music entertainment for your event is difficult and will cost you a lot of money.

Naturally, a solo musician – be it a singer or pianist – will cost a lot less than a 10-piece band but there are some very simple things that you should consider when you are talking to prospective musicians.

What area does Andrew cover?

It is our mission to be able to provide everyone with excellent entertainment and at great value. Naturally, the further Andrew needs to travel, the more travel costs that you will incur.

Andrew’s performance rates include travel within 50 miles of Warlingham in Surrey.

If you would like Andrew to travel that bit further to give you some top notch live vocals, do get in touch with us and we will see if we can accommodate you.

Does Andrew accept song requests?

Yes – absolutely!

I am more than happy to take song requests in advance of your event. This can be for a particularly special song to you, your first dance, a family favourite…. whatever you like!

Song requests are subject to suitability and availability. Please let me know the song request in plenty of time. I will then confirm whether or not I will be able to perform this song at your event.

What about during the event? Will Andrew accept song requests on the night?

I am more than happy to take song requests on the night however, please be mindful that I may not be able to meet every request!

Before every event, I take time to produce a bespoke set list for your event and rehearse. With this in mind, it may not be possible for me to perform every request I receive on the night of the event!

Can you set up outside?

Of course!

We will keep a close eye on the weather for you and bring shelter for the equipment if needed!

All of our power cables are armoured so rain water is no feat!

How will it take to set up?

I am committed to ensuring that the set-up and sound at your event are of the highest standard.

I will arrive at your venue at least 3 hours before the booked performance start time. This will give me ample time to set-up, perform a sound check and then get freshened up ready to start the performance on time for you and your guests!

How much space will you need?

Ideally, I need a 3m x 2m area to set up. However, I am able to set up in smaller spaces. Please let me know what space is available and I can work with what there is.

How long is your show?

I don’t have a set period of time for my performances.

Your event is all about you and so I am able to perform for any length of time from 2x 45-60min sets to a lot longer!

How much input can I have in creating the set list?

During our initial consultation, I will ask you questions so I can get an idea of your tastes. From this, I will then create a set list that I think will work for you. 

I can then send the list to you so you can have as much input as you would like to have into the music that is performed.

What is the booking process?

To confirm your booking, we ask you to accept your booking online and pay a 25% deposit. If you would like to split your deposit payment over 2 payments, please let us know at the time of confirming your booking.

When do I need to pay the balance?

The balance is due 30 calendar days before your event.

What is your cancellation policy?

Do you provide your own equipment?

Yes! Absolutely – I come with everything we will need to put on a fab performance!

Do you need access to power?

Yes, please!

I need access to 2x standard 13-Amp sockets in order to set up the equipment safely.

Are my guests able to get up and sing?

Generally speaking, no.

Andrew is a professional singer and carefully crafts the arrangement for your event with you and your tastes in mind. As we don’t provide a karaoke service, we don’t have access to a catalog of karaoke backing tracks.

If, however, there is something of particular sentimentality, have a chat with one of the team and we will let you know if Andrew can accommodate you.

Are you insured?

Yes.

I hold full Public Liability Insurance. If you, or your venue/planner, required evidence of this, please get in touch with me.
